Making Your Dream Dress

All the dresses that leave the studio are designed and handmade by me and my small team of helpers. I love designing unique dresses, the technical aspects of pattern cutting to create an amazing fit for all shapes and sizes, and the craft aspect of the manufacturing process.

Whichever route you take, several patterns and toiles (prototypes) are cut to the brides exact measurements, several fittings take place and the dress is made accordingly.

I offer a very flexible design service and there are several routes to creating your dream dress:

Choose a dress from the Collection

I have designed and made a Collection of inspirational wedding gowns, in a variety of beautiful fabrics including laces, organza, silk and tulle. Brides are invited to try these dresses on, in order to find a style that suits them. The gown is then 'made to measure' to the bride's measurements.

Use the Collection as a starting point

Alternatively, using the Collection as a starting point, brides can alter various aspects of my designs to suit their taste. For instance, sleeves could be added, the lace or colour could be changed, necklines can be changed to suit the bride. Or you could combine elements from several different dresses, for example, the top half of one with the bottom half of another. I will always guide and advise as to what will and won't work.

This is all about creating a dress (or outfit) that is an extension of you, and can incorporate your own individual design ideas. Brides often have something that inspires them - a favourite dress or part of a dress, a piece of fabric or an aspect of their lives that they would like to incorporate into the design.

Bespoke can mean anything - the most flamboyant gown to the simplest shift dress. Whatever you want.

Bespoke dresses generally need between 4-8 fittings.

Please be assured that although I believe 'anything is possible', I will always advise if I feel something really won't work!
