Sophie and partner Michael celebrated their civil partnership last summer ’21 at Island Hall. I was so excited to receive these images of her blue satin bespoke dress, they are truly stunning.

Sophie contacted me knowing she didn’t want a traditional wedding dress. She showed me some images of Keira Knightly in the green dress from the film Atonement. She also had images from two vintage dressmaking patterns. Not wanting exactly that, but the relaxed and 1930s retro vibe of the Atonement dress in a different colour, together we came up with this dress design.

Sophie brought her own ideas to the design. She included a vintage buckle used on the back of the dress. She wore another buckle in her hair, the style of which was created by BecksThairapy.

The dress is made in a peacock blue silk satin with matching silk chiffon drapes, ties and ruching.

This is certainly a relaxed and glamorous dress for a relaxed and glamorous day! Huge congratulations to you both!
