This is a post about bride Amanda’s bespoke champagne tulle wedding dress with sequins and mirrors. Amanda’s wedding postponed several times due to the pandemic and I eventually made her wedding dress for her in 2022.
We connected initially in 2020 on Zoom during lockdown and as the pandemic progressed and Amanda’s wedding date postponed several times, it became apparent that we wouldn’t be able to meet in person for a year or so! Rather than sit doing nothing, I asked Amanda to measure herself on Zoom with my direction and I started to make a mock up of her body shape on my dummy. She sent me a bra in her size that I could use to help with this.

We found some gold sequinned tulle fabric on Etsy and even though I ordered a sample of it initially, I decided not to wait and to go for it and order the full amount before the sample arrived. It turned out to be perfect. Amanda and I both sourced some embroidered Shisha mirrors in various shades of champagne and gold, plus more sequins, and I set about sewing and gluing them all onto her fabric.

The effect was perfect, exactly what Amanda wanted. Super twinkly!

Amanda and Neil have now been married for over 2 years! How time flies! My continued best wishes to you both for the future!
