I make a lot of colourful wedding dresses, and here is a post about bride Hattie’s green silk chiffon and crepe summer wedding dress.

When she first visited me, Hattie’s green silk chiffon and crepe bespoke wedding dress was originally going to be a soft blue, but after some deliberation she decided the muted green shade was lovelier. Whatever she chose, it wasn’t going to be ivory.

The above and below studio shots are work in progress. Hattie chose a variety of dainty green glass crystals to adorn the seams under the bust and on the hip.

Everything about the dress was soft and easy to wear. The above is the 3rd fitting with beading started and neckline still to check and finish.

What I didn’t realise until closer to the end of the process, was that Hattie was going to wear her dress to ride to her wedding on a horse! The dress seemed to survive though!

Are you thinking of choosing to wear a wedding dress in a colour? If so, do get in touch. Although the traditional ivory is beautiful, I also love making dresses and outfits in other colours too and am always happy to help you realise your colourful wedding dress dreams!
