I am very excited to show you bride Anna looking beautiful in her pretty pink beaded wedding dress. Anna married husband Jon in the spring of this year and I am delighted to be able to share these images and some of the process with you.

Anna first visited me around 18 months before her wedding date. This is well in advance which is great from my point of view; it makes scheduling dates and the whole manufacturing process much easier. For her, she was expecting a baby and wanted me to meet her looking like her usual size. This is a really helpful thing to do, it meant I could start the initial pattern cutting in advance.

Being very fair skinned, Anna had a specific brief and decided on a very pale pink colour palette for her dress. A soft silhouette of sheer diaphanous layers of chiffons, tulles and organza. We ordered many samples for Anna to combine into her favourite combination.

All the above images are by local photographer Vicki at Photographvie
In addition to the layers of pinks, Anna chose several laces all with very dainty and tiny floral and leaf motifs. I beaded these with many, many hundreds of beads, crystals and sequins, also chosen by Anna.
I love this kind of work!
Studio images
Below are some studio shots I took of this pretty pink beaded wedding dress.

Above and below: some of the beaded appliqués ready to sew onto the wedding dress.

Each lace motif is individually cut out and beaded, then reapplied in a different formation onto the dress.

This type of dress takes many hours to create. Despite being fairly simple in design to look at, I think that this bespoke wedding dress is up there as one of the most labour intensive dresses I’ve created.

Anna was kind enough to write me an epic review! Here, in her own words, are some excerpts, which also help explain how we worked together:
‘ …I knew I didn’t want white or ivory (I wanted a beautiful pale pink to compliment my pale complexion) so always knew I needed to find someone special who understood my vision, which Rachel created, down to every last detail, stitch and tiny bead…’
‘…From the initial consultation Rachel experimented with me to find the ideal colours and silks/fabrics for me. She listened to all my concerns and worked out ways to put my mind at ease. I could not recommend a better person to make a wedding dress…’
‘….I found many images which all had different specific features I knew I’d like in my dress, and so Rachel and I designed my dream dress. I should mention that Rachel managed to do all of this whilst I was pregnant, after I gave birth and whilst breastfeeding. I also found the process to be flexible, as for a while I was undecided as to whether to have a slit/split in the skirt part of the dress and Rachel explained pros and cons of both so I was able to make the best decision for me. I decided not to have one, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful…’

I’m so pleased to have had the opportunity to create this wedding dress for Anna. It really is a beautiful dress and it suits her so well – she looks amazing!

Bespoke bride Anna knew the look she wanted to achieve when she came to see me. However, you do not need to know exactly what design you would like to wear to benefit from my services. As a trained designer with nearly 30 years experience in creating wedding dresses, I can help achieve the perfect look for you.
I’m taking bookings now for 2026 and beyond. This still sounds like a long way ahead, but it really isn’t! The longer the lead time, the better. If you’re interested in finding out more about my services please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
