Today I’m featuring a full skirted satin wedding dress with lace bodice and sleeves that I created for bride Helen before the pandemic. The wedding was in the early springtime and I’m excited to share these images with you. There’s a fantastic testimonial included later in the post too.
I do love a confetti shot! Bride Helen married Josh at The Granary Estates in Cambridgeshire in early springtime 2019. All these lovely wedding images are by photographer Sarah Brookes.
Wanting a modern-traditional style dress and a lace that was natural looking in design, Helen chose Janine from Bridal Fabrics. This was used for the bodice and sleeves of her bespoke wedding dress. As you can see it’s such a pretty lace with embroidered foliage and flowers positioned as if growing over the lace.
The rest of the dress featured a full skirted and pleated A-line ivory satin skirt falling away to a train at the back.
Helen wrote me the most amazing testimonial! It explains a lot about how I work and the fun and relaxed atmosphere I hope to create when working with a bride to be.
She said:
Helen and I designed her satin full skirted wedding dress with lace bodice and sleeves together at her first appointment. She came prepared with descriptions of her likes and dislikes which made creating the design easier. If you are you are interested in having a bespoke wedding dress or outfit created it’s useful to collect some ideas of details that you like to get the ball rolling.
Do get in touch if you have questions about my service or if you are interested in making an appointment to discuss ideas further. I’d love to hear from you!
Helen was great fun to work with and we are still in touch three years after her wedding! I wish her and Josh all the best for a continuing happy marriage!
